Career

Patrick O'Keeffe is an officer in the German Navy and currently serves as NATO Legal Advisor at the Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (COE CSW) in Kiel, as Managing Director of AMC Solutions in Hamburg, and since 2018 Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute for Security Policy at Kiel University (ISPK) in the Department of Strategic Development in Asia-Pacific.

Patrick O'Keeffe is currently a NATO Legal Advisor at the Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (COE CSW) in Kiel, Germany.

At the beginning of his military career, Patrick O'Keeffe studied aerospace engineering at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich and specialized in unmanned systems as well as astrodynamics - the calculation of trajectories in space.

After several years as a pilot in the flying service of the Bundeswehr, he took up the study of law, moved to NATO and devoted himself to the analysis of the legal framework and impact of modern technologies on the strategic transformation of NATO in maritime as well as cyber and space.
